Hi Mr. A’Court, I’m a 55 year old who grew up in N.S. My music tastes are stuck in a time wharp and I didn’t think there was any music better than that of the 60’s and early 70’s (acid rock being my favorate) but when I heard you on Q104 doing a live version of ‘Hey Joe’ I was truly impressed, you defiantly got sole man, you’ve got a new fan.

Leighton MacDonald - 02/14/2008

Hi Charlie, We (my husband Don and I ) caught just one of your many shows this past weekend for the ECMA's in Dolan's, Fredericton. You kept us captive from the first note to the last. We are sooooooooooooo enjoying your cd "Bring On The Storm", as a matter of fact it has yet to leave our cd player!!!!!!!!!!! "Dreams To Remember " brings back many memories of the ol' days when I use to listen to Frank McKay's version when Dave Gallant was in his band. Hope you keep in touch.... you have my card, lol.

Dawn Gallant (music director...CKHJ, Fredericton) - 02/11/08

Hey Charlie, My friends and I really enjoyed you in Spindale nc , last night. I'm enjoying your CD right now. We'll be following your career, with interest!!! God bless you.

Hi Charlie!

I was enjoyed to see you on friday, 21th septembre, in Northern Inn, Terrace. Unfortunately was your playing to short, but greatful. I hope, you visit Austria, too.

Hey Charlie,

Love, Uncle Bill and Aunt Dona - 09/26/2007

Hi Charlie,

I cannot say more about you than what has already been said; just..................WOW!!!!
Thank you very much for the show in Terrace, B.C. Your music and performance have shown me that the blues still have a place to go. Make sure you tell Dave about us here. Tell him Donna's brother says hello. Anyway, thanks Charlie and we'll see you next time.

Bruce - 09/25/2007

Hi Charlie, It was so great to see you back at Stayner’s the other night! You guys were absolutely amazing. It was a night that had everything from just pure soulful acoustic to full on deep blues with electric guitar and harmonica! WOW! The people I brought with me who had never seen you before were blown away! They said they had never seen anything like that in Halifax before – boy have they ever been missing out all these years that you have been playing. I remember the first time I saw you play years ago when you first moved to Halifax - it was at Murphy’s on the Water – your first CD wasn’t even made yet. Your friend Sergio told me about you and I brought about 10 people that night to come and watch – I knew that night that you were going to make something of yourself in this business and I followed your career ever since! I have seen you play many venues, but it’s these small intimate ones that are so special. I am just so happy for you that you are doing so well and as usual you just keep getting better and more polished every time I see you play! Thanks for bringing us music lovers sheer pleasure and enjoyment – don’t ever change.

Sincerely, Denise Arsenault – Halifax NS - 09/21/2007

Hi, Charlie — You can thank your friend, Catherine Levy, for introducing me to your music. I love it and am looking forward to the whole CD. I’m from Oregon, so we’re a little behind on getting the great music out of Canada. I’ll try to get all my friends interested, as I think they’d enjoy it as much as I do. Congratulations on all your awards.

Rebecca - 09/15/2007

Great show at Dutch Mason Blues Fest on Friday night.Great band , a long way from Stayners and Bearleys gigs. That was a show meant for something like the Cohn at $25-35 maybe some promoter would be interested.

Tinman5077 - 08/14/2007

Greetings! You were great last night! I saw you in Ashland, Ohio and was most impressed with your superb talent. Thanks for spending some time in our fair state. I hope to catch your show again sometime. Best wishes along your musical journey and in all of life.

Susan - 07/16/2007

Hi Charlie,
We first saw you a few years ago at Paddy's Pub in Kentville. We just recently saw you at the Astor in Liverpool. We certainly enjoyed the show and were really touched when you introduced your dad and brought him on stage. You seem to have both feet on the ground and your head in the right space when it comes to talking with fans etc. I particularly enjoyed your mastery of the guitar. Wishing you all the best in the future. Hope to see your show again sometime.

Dave M - 07/10/2007

Charlie…loved your show in Martinsville VA last Saturday night!! You’re a great talent and I expect to hear of big things for you here in the States. I would enjoy hearing you in front of a band, perhaps in a small club somewhere, playing some electric as well. I’ll keep checking your tour schedule.

Good luck & safe travels…..

Jamie Minish - 02/26/2007

It was wonderful to see you on the ECMA last night Charlie. Congratulations on the win. You certainly deserve it. It's a fabulous album and we love it to death. Sure wish we would be seeing you at the Juno's here in Saskatoon. Try to make another trip out west here real soon ok.

Wendy C. - 02/19/2007

Congrats, congrats, congrats on your ECMA win last night!! Coolest thing was that you "jumped categories" - "typing" music is like "typing" people and the less of that the better. I expect next year's show to be even better 'cause Matt is going to be there with you guys. I wish you were playing the Kempt Shore Acoustic Festival again in July, we'll miss you. Thanks for the note you sent with your CD we bought in December - a big hit on Christmas morning!!

Your fans, The Eddy Family - 02/19/2007

Great show last night at Glasgow Square – wonderful music for a great cause – Long Black Veil was a highlight!!!

Charlie, Your CD release party in Truro last night was amazing. Dave Simpson was a pleasant surprise, a joy to listen to. The Band Members were outstanding. Nevin was amazing. You were reviting. Charlie, you got Soul! Your voice and your ability to convey the meaning of the song is a gift like no other. Every fiber of your performance was nothing short of spectacular. Your ability to tell a story, wether it is funny or serious captures the audience, reels them in and then you play that guitar.........You and your guitar become one and give a performance that is felt in the very essence of our soul. Bring On The Storm is another example of your God given talent. I was so pleased to hear you sing Dreams To Remember. What an excellent choice for your CD. I wish you continued success. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.

Sincerely, Liz Toole, Truro, NS - 12/6/2006

First saw you with David Wilcox in Halifax and delighted later to be able to see you five minutes from home at the Kempt Shore Acoustic Festival. We're so glad that you enjoy the Quarry - nice to have a great place for performers to take a break & cool down - we spend all summer there! My whole family are fans (husband & two kids), & when they were jamming in our little music room (all I play is the egg!) Tyler asked me "Mama, did it sound like Matt Anderson & Charlie A'Court up there?!?" Thanks for such great contribution to the musical upbringing of our kids!!! No Wiggles or Barney on our CD player!

The Eddy Family - 11/26/2006
